🎯 Target Audience: Single companies (including SMEs and start-ups) or consortia of up to 2 SMEs. Experienced SMEs targeting applications and services involving IoT systems and/or edge/cloud computing.

Objectiv​:

The NEMO project aims to develop next-generation AIoT nodes equipped with artificial intelligence, enabling them to operate in semi-autonomous mode, reduce latency and perform a number of complex operations locally, without transporting raw data. On-device federated learning and data sovereignty, as well as trusted and explicitly attested cloud (edge) nodes, will bring AI to environments with limited network coverage. Nemo aims to develop an open-source, modular, cybersecurity-compliant operating meta-system. The project both builds on existing technologies and also aims to foster the development of new concepts, methods, tools and test and engagement campaigns.

Candidate projects must demonstrate the potential of Meta-OS and meet stringent requirements such as :

• high device heterogeneity, including low-capacity IoT devices
• automatic learning on the device
• low latency and high bandwidth
• increased energy efficiency and reduced energy footprint of IT operations
• sustainable IT investments through monetization of data, resources and/or services.

Funding: maximum 90,000 euros per project
