The European project MAGICIAN is launching a call for projects to enhance production line automation with robots capable of detecting and correcting defects before the final manufacturing stages.

📆 Deadline: May 2, 2025

🎯 Target audience: Start-ups and SMEs established in an EU member state or associated countries

💰 Funding: Up to €200,000 per project (70% for SMEs, up to 100% for start-ups)

Objective

The MAGICIAN project aims to develop a modular automation solution where robots detect and correct production defects before the final finishing stages, ensuring higher quality and efficiency.

Which projects are eligible?

Your solution must enhance the capabilities of SR (Sensing Robots) and CR (Cleaning Robots) using advanced technologies such as:

🔹 Improved defect detection algorithms
🔹 More efficient rework techniques
🔹 AI-powered modules to optimize real-time production performance

Funded projects must focus on one of the following key areas:

✅ F1 – Perception
✅ F2 – Human-Robot Collaboration

Projects can be led by a single company or a consortium of up to two companies.
